Cinnamon Myrtle grows in the subtropical areas of Eastern Australia. The leaves have a pleasant spicy cinnamon-like aroma and flavour and can be used as a spice in various dishes. Originally used by Indigenous Australians for cooking and as a bush medicine, it makes a calming medicinal tea useful for heartburn, colic and the digestive system.
With a distinct cinnamon-like bouquet, this spice is a wonderful addition to sweet or savoury dishes. Including stews, curries, baking biscuits to sweet desserts.
