Indication

Indications:

Hair loss

Alopecia

Infertility

Premature senility

Sexual hypofunction

 

Signs & Symptoms:

Hair loss, premature greying of the hair

Fatigue

Muscular weakness

Postural dizziness

Dry and lacklustre skin

Dry mouth and throat

Dry eyes, blurred vision

Pain and weakness of the lower back and knees

Tinnitus

Insomnia, dream disturbed sleep

Tingling (paraesthesia) or numbness of the extremities

Dull headache (on the occiput or vertex)

Normal or light red tongue with little coat

Thready pulse that may also be weak or rapid

TCM Syndromes: Kidney and Liver Yin deficiency, Kidney Essence deficiency, Qi-Blood dual deficiency.

TCM Actions: Nourishes the Kidney and Liver Yin, replenishes the Kidney Essence, tonifies the Qi and nourishes the Blood.

Ingredients

  • Morus alba, fruit 36.7 mg
  • Wolfiporia cocos, hyphae (hoelen, tuckahoe, Indian bread) 36.7 mg
  • Angelica polymorpha, root 36.7 mg
  • Achyranthes bidentata, root 36.7 mg
  • Lycium barbarum, fruit 36.7 mg
  • Cuscuta hygrophilae, seed 36.7 mg
  • Rehmannia glutinosa, root (Chinese foxglove root) 36.7 mg
  • Astragalus membranaceus, root 36.7 mg
  • Epimedium sagittatum, herb 36.7 mg
  • Cullen corylifolium, seed 28.0 mg
  • Panax ginseng, root 18.9 mg

Direction of use

30 – 40 pills twice daily, half to one hour away from food.

In severe cases the dosage may be increased up to 50%, e.g. 50 pills twice daily or 30 – 40 pills, three times daily.

Course of treatment: 3 to 6 months.

Notes

Cautions & Contraindications:

Caution for those on anti-coagulant medications (i.e. heparin, warfarin or aspirin), cardiac glycosides (e.g. digoxin), oral hypoglycaemic agents, insulin and phenelzine.

Contains Panax ginseng; do not take caffeine-containing beverages (e.g. tea, coffee, cola, gaurana) or radishes concurrently with this formula.
